It's been awhile since I've written. The new business has kept me busy and writing had stopped. I am happy to announce that I am working on a new project. It is another children's series, "The Adventures of Lynx." The stories are once again based on a real pet with the same unique personality as in the books. Some of the crazy stuff in the stories, he has done in real life. Lynx is a rather unique, and unusual cat.
The first in the series is "Lynx Plays Pretend." He will actually have 2 series versions. The "Junior Edition" is for toddlers and up with mostly pictures and little writing. The second set will have the "Junior Edition" removed and will be a bit more like Freckles, but less writing as her newer books. The illustrator for this series is AJ Wanegar. "The Adventures of Lynx, Junior Edition, Book # 1: Lynx Plays Pretend," will be out sometime in 2019.

A special thank you to the Reid-Thompson Public Library in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. We all had a lovely time reading to the children and look forward to doing it again. Last but not least, a thank you to the Humboldt and District Kinettes for sponsoring me for the TD Canada Trust Summer Reading Program.
You can now order some of Freckles the Bunny Series & Sherlock's paperbacks on McNally Robinson's website!
Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I've posted. A new Freckles book is still in the works but it is slow coming. This is my fault. A lot of my time is being spend on the new business and getting it going. My efforts haven't been in vain though and I am getting it moving forward. I've also begun taking some classes online so I am spending a lot of time learning. I just wanted to let you all know I haven't forgotten about you.
In fact, Freckles and Sherlock have new merchandise out and online through the business website. I also have the books retiring in the systems so that I can put out new editions with better editing. These are slowly coming. Freckles' sixth book is out and on Amazon. Freckles and Stew are doing well as is Sherlock. We are hoping to begin attending events this Spring and by next year, I hope to contact schools for readings once more. I will try to post more regularly and get to updating the websites soon. Thanks for being such loyal fans!
Oh!! One last note. Freckles' book # 5 & 6 will be online soon as e-books. You can pre-order until then. Keep an eye out for them on Barnes & Noble, Apple, etc. The price is $2.99 USD. You can pre-order now on Smashwords. These are the new and edited versions.

We would like to welcome our new illustrator Athena Whitbread. She will begin drawing Freckles the Bunny Series: Freckles' Short Stories, Volume 1 in January. Athena was asked to draw a bunny using Freckles' picture and this was what she sent in. We look forward to seeing the rest of her work!

Congratulations Aletha Jasmer! You've won yourself a Freckles the Bunny Series mousepad.
Live story reading with author Vickianne Caswell as she launches her latest book in her "Freckles the Bunny Series." It is entitled, "The Freckle Monster."
Freckles is sure she is will win the anti-bullying poster contest. Freckles is very disappointed when she learns Stew wins. With the help of the snobby weasel girls, she shows Stew how mad and jealous she is. Meanwhile, Freckles' lies have caused fighting among her classmates. They start lying, name calling, hitting and more. Will the friends remember why they drew these posters or will they remain bullies?
Free entry but we appreciate you getting your free tickets through our link so we can see the head count. Thank you!
We are now taking pre-orders for book # 6. The book is just waiting for some edits which were having issues but should hopefully be online by the end of the month. I am taking orders for the book at a sale price (not sure whether we will keep this price or not). You can buy them online @ 4 Paws Games and Publishing
Retiring a book isn't easy and that is what I am going to be doing. I've already begun the process for book # 5 and will soon retire the others as well. I want the books to be the best that they can be. Part of that was finding a new editor. A new editor isn't going to fix everything though. I want my books to be published in Canada, with a Canadian ISBN because I am from Canada. I want my books to feel Canadian and that is why I decided to retire my books.
They will be online once again soon. I already have ISBNs available for them and they will slowly be removed and released. I will keep updating you on which books are going down. I don't think they will take all of the old reviews and place them on the new books so I will be sure to move them to the reviews page.
This is an exciting time as I start a new company. Unfortunately, it also means my books will slow down for awhile. I know what some may be thinking. It took you a year to get this book out so how much slower can they be? I promise they won't take this long again. I needed time to heal and get used to living in this house once more. I am mostly my old self again and I can write so they will be sooner than this next book was. I haven't forgotten about the other books I was writing either. I plan to fit it all in the best that I can.
This is my 6th Readers Favorite 5 Star Review Award! (Freckles' book # 5 got 4 stars)
In The Freckle Monster: Freckles the Bunny Series, Book #6, Freckles is a special little bunny. She is smart, caring and very creative. Her latest project was to create a ‘Stop Bullying’ poster for school. All of the students were participating and the principal would choose the best poster to be highlighted on the local news. Freckles was sure that her poster would win. She was very proud of her poster. But her poster didn’t win. Her best friend, Stew, had her poster chosen. As the news reporter interviewed Stew about her poster, Freckles fumed about not winning the contest. Her jealousy turned to revenge and soon Freckles was no longer the caring bunny that everyone loved; she was the mean bully bunny that made everyone mad at each other. Can Freckles be stopped?
We have some new book trailers done through 4 Paws Games and Publishing. I hope you like them!
